Real Wedding: Megan and Josh

Chicago residents and PhD students Megan and Josh had a fun October wedding full of color.  They are one of those couples that are so in love you can see it when they look at each other or talk about the other.  The couple and their families shared many giggles and tears during this special day.  You’ll get to see all of the genuine emotions as captured by Lang Thomas Photography.

The stunning bride and bridal party got ready at the Seelbach Hilton which also provided a lovely backdrop for the bride and groom’s first look.

Hair and Makeup provided by Hot Locks!

We are loving the fun colors in the bridesmaid’s bouquets.  They really pop against their black dresses!

The ceremony took place at Megan’s childhood church, Central Christian Church in New Albany, IN.  *Warning* the picture following Meg walking down the aisle is a major tear jerker but oh so sweet.

Commonwealth Musicians provided the musical stylings for the ceremony.

Transportation the bridal party and family was provided by Miller Trailways and Person to Person Limousines.

The reception took place at the historical and always lovely Grand Ballroom of the Henry Clay.  Guests’ escort cards were hung from a set of trees making for a really exciting display as guests reached the second floor.  Gigi’s Cupcakes provided the delicious treats on the left!

Instead of a guest book Megan and Josh had guests write postcards that were sent to the couple’s home after the wedding and also gave a nod to their love for Chicago!

Absolutely diggin’ this head table from the color to the height and to the slue of candles!!

The yummy dinner and drinks were provided by The Silver Spoon.

Meg and Josh’s first dance was definitely one for the record books.  On a spur of the moment decision the playful couple actually danced around the room and through their guests!

When it was time for Leroy Ellington & the E-Funk Band to take their final break- Megan and Josh headed to the stage to start the Techo Dance Break!!

Clearly their guests really enjoyed it- & so did the happy couple!!

We had such a great time at this party ourselves. Our team was even able to get party hats to celebrate LC’s birthday while we had dinner!!

To great parties with heartfelt emotion,

November 1, 2012 - 11:09 PM Celia - LOVE THIS! Such an awesome event and a great team!

Real Wedding: Lori & Dan

Lori and Dan are the perfect example of having a themed event and doing it right!

They completely committed to the Circus de Soleil style in all aspects of the event from the invitation wording to the decor, and the huge floor decal.

The couple came to LCE wanting to completely transform their reception space. We were absolutely up to the challenge, and everything came together beautifully.

We’re certain you won’t be able to guess where this reception took place, but hope you’ll try!

All the images you see here were captured by the awesome Amy Campbell of Angela Anderson Photography.

Hair and Makeup by Applied Cosmetic Services.  Lori actually decided to have a second look when she changed into her reception dress as you’ll see later.

This Lazaro is to die for!!!

The bridesmaids carried whimsical bouquets full of color!

Cocktail Hour took place under the festoon lighting.  All draping and lighting provided by Camargo Rentals.

Lori and Dan got a peak at the reception just before their guests.  Their reaction is priceless!!

Awesome dance floor decal tied the circus theme together!

Lori’s second look rocked…plus it made it waaayyy easier to dance!

The delectable cake below was provide by Mert’s Cakes!

Have you guessed yet where this reception took place?  The ceremony site was actually St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg, IN, and the reception took place…

in the church’s gym!!

Dan’s band even took the stage for a set! All other reception entertainment was provided by Coxx Events.

Showtime Photo Booth was on the scene with a cardboard cut out of Lori’s cat as well as tons of other props!

In true circus style, we had some fun treats outside for guests to enjoy including lemonade, funnel cake, and even cotton candy!

What a great way for all the guests to end their evening!

To theme weddings that rock!

Real Wedding: Christine & Aaron

Christine and Aaron were such a fun couple to work with on their wedding.  They are always giggling, and you can tell from these pictures just how much fun their wedding really was!

This wedding held a lot of firsts for Lauren Chitwood Events too–from live animals to new venues and mascots!! We hope you enjoy!

Hair by Sylvia of Shear Artistry and Makeup by Applied Cosmetic Services

You might recognize Christine from the NFocus Shoot of Entitled Brides.  Christine is a dedicated ER nurse at Norton Hospital!

All these stellar images were captured by Lucy of Angela Anderson Photography.  The Video Wizard was also there so the family could remember every sight and sound!

The couple was married at St. John’s United Church of Christ. A gorgeous location especially great for those who want an ornate church feel, without specific denomination policies.

Pew markers were designed in a fleur de lis shape for these Louisville natives!

The deep purples and plums made for a lovely color combination for this late September party!

Check out this good looking group!

The reception was held at one of Louisville’s newest & coolest venues –The Ice House.  Catering was provided by Crushed Ice Events.

The bridal party was announced into the reception like a starting lineup at a University of Louisville game.  Even Louie came out for this and was announced just before the bride and groom!

Go CARDS!!

Who doesn’t love a custom gobo on the dance floor?!?

A first time for LCE – we included live beta fish in almost all of the floral arrangements!  Our staff had some fun naming each– all 30+ of them!

Thanks to Feeders Supply for keeping them alive for us!

Cake topper was provided by Plehn’s Bakery and cupcakes by Gigi’s Cupcakes.  There were a ton of minis that were passed once the cake was cut.

We’re suckers for sweet Daddy’s girl moments!!

The guests enjoyed playing around in the Showtime Photo Booth, and there were definitely a few dance offs thanks to the musical stylings of Coxx Events!

To fun new experiences,

Real Wedding: Mary Margaret & Weston

Mary Margaret and Weston were looking for a relaxed open air feel to their romantic wedding in Cox’s Creek.  We toyed with the idea for some time of having a completely open air concept- just a night under festoon lighting with lanterns all around.  Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans but Camargo Rentals came to the rescue and put up the awesome clear span tent (seen below) which totally saved the day.

All the wonderful images provided by the amazing Todd Pellowe!

Hair and Makeup by Applied Cosmetic Services.  Stunning!

We loved the pop of color in the gorgeous green of the bridesmaids’ dresses!

The event took place at a private residence beautifully surrounded by forestry and lakes.  Simply dreamy!!!   The ceremony was anchored by this amazing tree, directly next to the smaller lake.

For the ease of their guests, the family decided to transport everyone with the help of R&R Limousines and Toby Tours.

Seriously have you ever seen a more beautiful location for a wedding?!

The texture of this cake is so cool… and of course it’s a Mert’s Cake so you know it’s as delicious as it is gorgeous!

White linens, tons of candles, and colorful petals with the amazing lighting looked so clean and beautiful!

We’re in Bourbon Country so we had to have a great collection!!  These custom bars were built just for this party & fit in really nicely with the decor!

The families opted to have a cocktail style reception to keep guests up and mingling.  All enjoyed scrumptious delights from Wiltshire Pantry while chatting and dancing.

Music provided by Familiar Faces Band.

Limbo…classic!

The perfect end to a great evening.  The 1956 Vintage Bentley from Person to Person Limousines whisked the couple off to their happily ever after!

Other vendors that made the day great Kentucky Portable, Dr. George Strunk, Commonwealth Musicians.

February 16, 2012 - 11:12 AM Whitney - It's easy to be disdainful of Valentine's Day and lambast it as over commercialized, etc. However, ever since I met Adam he has made every Valentine's Day so special and romantic that it's hard not to embrace it! This year I woke up to a sweet card with a romantic message and some gift cards to my favorite stores, and that evening we went out to dinner and had a great time. He always makes sure there's a special card from our cats as well :) Even though we go out on "dates" often and I feel loved all the time, it's nice to have a day to amp things up a bit! I hope years down the line when adult life gets in the way of every day romantic spontaneity, that Valentine's Day will help us remember to make each other feel special every day of the year!

Volstead Party

Ready to Charleston the night away,

Debbie

Real Wedding: Susan & Bryan

Videography provided by Dench Video Services

Tons of sweet little people at this wedding!

Ceremony music was supplied by Highland Chamber Players.  The singer that accompanied the other musicians was also the singer at Susan’s parents wedding! Ceremony sound support provided by Coxx Events

On the right: The ultra luxurious head table!

Food and drink were provided by The Silver Spoon including this fun specialty cocktail!  Wedding cake was provided by Mert’s Cakes!  There was also the Graeter’s ice cream cart for guests to enjoy.

February 16, 2012 - 12:17 PM Shane E. - Love the style and decor of this wedding!

Real Wedding: Jacquelyn & Landon

We are so blessed to have clients that are beautiful on the inside and out- Jacquelyn and Landon are such a great example of this!  You may recognize Jacquelyn from the January 2011 issue of Nfocus Magazine.  She was one of the ladies featured along with other Louisville brides whose jobs service our community.

Hair and Makeup by none other than Ana at Applied Cosmetic Serivces!!

Amy, Angela Anderson Photography‘s Lead Photographer captured all of these romantic images.

A great alternative for a bride or groom who can’t decide whether to have a first look or not:  Jacquelyn and Landon saw each other for the first time at St. John United Church of Christ, but alone.  This allowed them to get all of the photos they wanted while still keeping their first look intimate.  We even had Landon wait on the altar as Jacquelyn walked down the aisle towards him!

We could literally post every picture from this stop they made in St. James Court.  The setting and the people are stunning!

The ceremony took place at The Brown Hotel.  Although any color scheme looks great in this historic location the sky blue, white, and gold worked great with the setting!

Thanks to Familiar Faces Band for providing great entertainment all night!!

Techno Band Break….such a blast!!

Their fabulous cake was provided by The Sugarwoods.  Transportation by Miller Trailways, and lovely ceremony music by Commonwealth Musicians!  We wish we could do it all over again!  What a wonderful bride and groom and a great group of family and friends!
