Real Wedding: Maura & Erik

In May, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Maura and Erik, who were in need of a last minute florist for their upcoming wedding. They wanted their florals to make a statement, and they definitely came to the right place! They had booked St. Mark’s Episcopal Church as well as The Seelbach-Hilton for their wedding, so we had fabulous venues to work with. Their fantastic color palette of pink, purple, and green, gave us a lot to work with. We made bold yet delicate bouquets for the girls, and transformed their Seelbach reception with a little bit of lighting and a lot of huge floral centerpieces! Check out the awesome photos done by Todd Nichols to see how wonderful it all turned out!

Also, we hope you’ll stay tuned into our blog this month, because we have some BIG exciting announcements coming very soon!!! Check back to see what Lauren Chitwood Events has in store!

Real Wedding: Jessie & Josh

On Fourth of July weekend we had the pleasure of working with Jessie and Josh on their beautiful wedding! They are an absolutely amazing couple who have such a unique story. Jessie met Josh while on vacation, and they instantly hit it off. The downfall was that Josh lived in Alabama and was in the Air Force, but they fought against the odds and kept in touch. Josh wrote her long romantic letters, just as Jessie had dreamed about when she was a little girl. He captured her heart from the very beginning, and he will forever be Jessie’s knight in shining armor!

Jessie and Josh are truly loved by everyone they meet, which was made very evident by their 550 guests and 24 bridal party members! The bride is one of five sisters, and we loved seeing all the warmth and joy that radiated from this loving family. There was so much love at this wedding, and nothing makes us more excited than being able to help make their special day FANTASTIC!

The wedding took place at Walnut Street Baptist Church in downtown Louisville, and the reception was located at the Galt House. Both venues perfectly set the mood for the day. Hali B was truly a lifesaver, making sure the bride and all 12 bridesmaid looked beyond fabulous. Also, our friend Lang from Lang Thomas Photography captured the beauty and love of the day. Check out his amazing slideshow to take a glimpse into Jessie and Josh’s special day!

Real Wedding: Stacy & Daniel

Stacy & Daniel married June 13, 2010 at Whitehall House & Gardens, which shall be recorded as the hottest wedding day of the year!  Our entire team had such a great time working with this couple. For their design concept we wanted to keep things very “Victorian Garden”, you’ll notice their arrangements overflowing with hydrangea, roses, lisianthus and tulips in the most lovely wrought iron urns and candelabras.  For their ceremony we installed the MOST BEAUTIFUL antique garage gates to frame the Stacy & Daniel as they said “I Do.”  For comfort, there were fan’s everywhere, and cold drinks as guests entered the ceremony.

Ladyfingers catering put on the delicious spread, and you know our team took care of all the event management, design and floral design.

You’ll also notice the sweetest (and to die for delicious) wedding cake by Mert’s Cakes. Bridal beautification came from the always fabulous Ana Crane Simpson, and the entire day was captured by the amazing team with Amy Shepherd Photography.

PS- I know this is a massive blog post.. but I don’t care.. just too many good images ton not put them all in one!

July 9, 2010 - 7:48 AM Michelle Elliott - What a beautiful wedding all around! Amy did a great job documenting it!

July 14, 2010 - 1:52 PM Stacy - So beautiful! Thank you Lauren and LC Events! The day was phenomenal and, Amy, the photos do it all the justice deserved. I get emotional just looking at this :)

Real Wedding: Sarah & Jon

Sarah and Jon were such a wonderful couple to work with! They got married at the absolutely stunning Greystone Estate overlooking the Ohio River. The setting was absolutely picturesque, and the weather stayed delightfully warm. (For the guests that were a little too warm, we provided the programs as convenient personal fans!!) No words could express how breathtaking the Greystone Estate truly is, and we love that our brides love it as much as we do!

The ceremony followed at the Henry Clay, which pretty much speaks for itself. We accented the rooms with the beautiful white and purple florals, and lit tealights lining the walls to give the room a romantic glow. The party was so fun that it continued on even after the music stopped!! Take a look at the fabulous photos from our good friend at Lang Thomas Photography!
